My name is Jessica, and I am the moderator for this message board. I am thrilled to be here, and I’m eager to hear your great ideas about helping the environment. I’ll be sharing my own thoughts, asking questions, and posting polls, so keep checking back!
Here are the rules for this message board. These rules help to keep things safe and fun, so be sure to read and follow them!
1. No last names, schools, or cities (states are okay)
2. Age/grade is okay, but no birthdays
3. No being mean or rude, and no cursing
4. No posting your e-mail address or links to other websites
5. No attachments or pictures are allowed

1. Bath less, shower more.
2. Buy second hand things once in a while.
3. Use both sides of a paper.
4. Plant a tree.
5. Turn of electronics (computers) that are charging at night.
6. Don't rinse your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher (if needed).
7. Don't use the dishwasher at all.
8. Don't preheat the oven.
9. Recycle glass.
10. Recycle old cellphones.
11. Hang clothes rather that putting them in the dryer.
12. Use less paper napkins.
13. Take less time to shower.
14. Adjust your thermostat, turn it off when your leaving
15. Carpool to get to work or to go anywhere.
16. Think before you throw something away, things in good condition (mildly used clothes, toys) can be donated.
17. Don't use paper phonebooks.
18. Use batteries that can be recharged.
19. Turn off lights.
20. Use longer lasting lights.

Recycle your newspapers etc. If you have a wood stove (Like my parents do) burn your paper plates, napkins etc. Get involved, volunteer, plant a tree, pick up garbage etc. Don't bring things border to border (it brings alien species which is bad for the environment)

Another way to help save the planet is to write a persuasive letter to save the rainforest, endangered animals or convince people to donate to charities!
