Hey Bookluver,

For a long answer to a similar "Does journalism include . . . ?" type of question, look for my 06/18/2007 response post to the thread entitled "where" on the Journalism - General Discussion board. It touches on whether or not blogs are a form of journalism. I think that a blog entry could possibly be considered as journalism in rare instances, for example when a newspaper's website features a blog written by one of their own journalists -- as a general rule, though, blogs are for "the average person" to say whatever is on their mind, much more like a commentary than legitimate journalism.

Does anyone else want to weigh in on this?
