Hello future and past friends! WELCOME to the Buzz Board! I'm Katie, the moderator for the Buzz Board. If you've been around awhile, I used to moderate several message boards, including Dear America, Baby-sitters Club, Graphix, and Flashlight Readers way back when. . .! It's great to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you all!

- age/grade is okay, but no birthdays;
- no being mean, rude, or cursing;

Hi Brian! I hope you have fun on the boards and don't get to creeped out over here. (Some of us on the Buzz Board are a bit ... odd. In a good way, though!) I'm madgrrl and I really love Meg Cabot's style of writing, even though she's not my favorite author; she chooses her words as if she's actually as young as whichever kid/teen/adult she's writing about. Like with Allie Finkle, she actually writes as though she's a nine year old.
 
I've read all the Allie Finkle books and I'm a big fan, though I didn't go on that specific board very much when it was open. My favorite Allie Finkle book is Glitter Girls and the Great Fake Out. I think that three good summer books would be the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. I've only read the first one but it's super-cool!

Meg Cabot is an author for all ages.For ages 8-11, I would suggest the Allie Finkle series. It was my favorite series when I was that age. I love how Allie is so daring, sassy (but in a good way), and has all the personalities to be a great friend! For ages 12-17, I would suggest the Princess Diaries series. The two movies about teenaged Mia and her struggles, funny mishaps,and drama to becoming a princess are based off t he first two books of the Princess Diaries series. Meg Cabot also writes adult books. All around Meg Cabot is just a fantabulous writer!:smileyhappy:

I love the books. They're really good books. I think it's cool that Allie made her own profile. Did you know that the BSC have profiles too.

My favorite series by Meg Cabot is the 1800-Where-R-U series! I've only read the first two books but I love the excitment and action!

D; Awe I'm really sad because I haven't been around in like two months and I went to go see the "What Do You Think?" board and all it's cool people...and it was locked up! :( oh well...farewell "What do you think?" board.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the great suggestions! Many of you suggested the Allie Finkle series and I think we have a lot of fans of the series on this thread. So, how about we really get the conversation started.

Since, Allie Finkle is always creating new rules to live by, I was wondering what rules have you applied to your own life? Post in the thread which of Allie’s rules you used and a story about how you used the rule! The stories can be as long or as short as you want.

I can’t wait to read all these interesting stories, so get posting!

I've read Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls- Moving Day. I like the book because to me it is funny and Allie has a friend and she doesn't want to move. She wants to stay in her house and stay with her friend. It is a disaster! You should check it out!
