My 17-year-old daughter had to get her wisdom teeth pulled recently, and sadly, we forgot about the tooth fairy. Two infections and three courses of antibiotics later, I realize she  probably would have gotten a kick out of a visit from out little dental friend with some small token of appreciation for her ordeal.

My 12-year-old just lost her last tooth--a molar. I'm sure she no longer believes in the tooth fairy but she put her tooth under her pillow just the same. Since the tooth was large and took some doing to remove, the tooth fairy left her $2. Her usual rate is $1 but I've heard about other kids getting small toys and even candy (not very dental-wise, in my humble opinion) under their pillows in exchange for teeth. How much do your children receive from her majesty of the mouth?
