Women's History Month means a lot to me, not only because I'm a girl, but because of the lesson I learned when I was told of the things women had to endure back in the 17oo's and 18oo's. Women were treated with no respect whatsoever, and they had no authority over men. They were considered "minor" because the men believed that women were not as powerful as they were. Women had to be brave, courageous, and strong to stand up for what they believed in. Those meant they could never give up, only strive for what was fair. In the end of the battle, women had gained the right to vote, and in 1865, slavery was abolished. The 13th amendment is what states that Slavery was to be officially abolished. All in all, I guess all I'm trying to say… is that women rule!
