Have you had problems with bullies? You can ask bully expert Robert Pitner any questions you have about how to handle bullying problems. Post your questions below, and Scholastic News will post Pitner’s answers.

I do not have any bullying problems, but thank you for asking and being concerned. I go to a catholic school.

Do playground moniters really help cut down bullying that is extremely severe
and common?

-Replie if you feel->

I do not, infact I have had to stop one on my own bully problem where so & so
Called me "Farting machine".

This started at a boy scout camp there were
about 12 boy aginst me (12 on 1).

Then it started happening on the playground I tried reporting this to the playground moniter who just said to
him "please stop" (do you think that would have an effect).

I stoped this my self by having a conversation with his friend the conversation was about not following what others just to have a freind (that way the friend would not actually be a friend), this had an immediate effect on the problem, therefore stoping it.

Do you have a bully problem that moniters did not help in that you stoped on your own or do you have one right now that moniters cannot help in that you need to deel with your self please respond.

Hi. I'm sorry but can I ask you why you edited my last post so much in the Election 2006? I'm not offended or anything, but I would like to know why you edited it so much. I didn't put anything bad in it that I know of, just part of the Declaration of Independence...sorry, I'm not trying to be a pain. Thanks!

Elisabeth,

We receive lots of terrific posts. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to edit the length of the post, even though nothing bad was said. This way we keep the basic message of your post and allow everyone to read all the messages.

Sometimes bullies are really popular. Sometimes they hurt you physically. But I think it's worse when they hurt you emotionally. Sometimes you want to fight back. Other times you want to shrivel up and die. But it's important that you stand strong. My question is, though, why do bullies bully? I wish I could help them.
