Hi Brian! I hope you have fun on the boards and don't get to creeped out over here. (Some of us on the Buzz Board are a bit ... odd. In a good way, though!) I'm madgrrl and I really love Meg Cabot's style of writing, even though she's not my favorite author; she chooses her words as if she's actually as young as whichever kid/teen/adult she's writing about. Like with Allie Finkle, she actually writes as though she's a nine year old.

I've read all the Allie Finkle books and I'm a big fan, though I didn't go on that specific board very much when it was open. My favorite Allie Finkle book is Glitter Girls and the Great Fake Out. I think that three good summer books would be the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. I've only read the first one but it's super-cool!

I like PIE. I love BOYS. I adore WRITING.

Overall Outcome:

I'm a MAD GIRL!

Meg Cabot is an author for all ages. For ages 8-11, I would suggest the Allie Finkle series. It was my favorite series when I was that age. I love how Allie is so daring, sassy (but in a good way), and has all the personalities to be a great friend! For ages 12-17, I would suggest the Princess Diaries series. The two movies about teenaged Mia and her struggles, funny mishaps, and drama to becoming a princess are based off t he first two books of the Princess Diaries series. Meg Cabot also writes adult books. All around Meg Cabot is just a fantabulous writer!:smileyhappy:

I love the books. They're really good books. I think it's cool that Allie made her own profile. Did you know that the BSC have profiles too.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the great suggestions! Many of you suggested the Allie Finkle series and I think we have a lot of fans of the series on this thread. So, how about we really get the conversation started.

Since, Allie Finkle is always creating new rules to live by, I was wondering what rules have you applied to your own life? Post in the thread which of Allie’s rules you used and a story about how you used the rule! The stories can be as long or as short as you want.

I can’t wait to read all these interesting stories, so get posting!

I've read Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls- Moving Day. I like the book because to me it is funny and Allie has a friend and she doesn't want to move. She wants to stay in her house and stay with her friend. It is a disaster! You should check it out!
